HNBR (hydrierter Nitrilbutadienkautschuk) wird durch vollständige oder teilweise Hydrierung der Doppelbindungen in Nitrilbutadienkautschuk mit Wasserstoff zu Einfachbindungen erhalten. Im Vergleich zu NBR-O-Ringen weisen HNBR-O-Ringe bessere Eigenschaften hinsichtlich Ölbeständigkeit, Temperaturbeständigkeit und Festigkeit auf. Es ist widerstandsfähiger gegen Ozon und aggressive Substanzen und kann von -40 ° C bis +165 ° C (mit Spitzen bis +190 ° C) verwendet werden.
